  65. WSC4VB Version 2.4

  67. WSC4VB is a serial communications library which can be used with Visual
  68. Basic (16-bit or 32-bit) running under Windows NT, Windows 95/98, or
  69. Windows 3.1.

  71. The WSC4VB DLLs (WSC16.DLL and WSC32.DLL) can be called from any
  72. application capable of calling Windows API functions, including those
  73. written in Visual Basic, C/C++, Delphi, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word,
  74. PoxPro, Power Builder, Fortran, COBOL, etc. Six example Visual Basic
  75. programs are included plus examples for EXCEL, ACCESS, and FoxPro.

  99. Installation consists of copying WSC4VB24.ZIP (WSC4VB.ZIP if registered)
  100. to a work directory, unzipping the files, running INSTALL.BAT, compiling
  101. and running one of the example application programs such as EASY.

  103. Unzip the files by typing

  107. Run INSTALL.BAT which copies either 16-bit or 32-bit BAS and DLL files.
  108. To install the 16-bit DLLs (VB 3 or 16-bit VB 4), type "INSTAL16", or
  109. "INSTALL 16".

  111. To install the 32-bit DLLs (32-bit VB4 or VB5), type "INSTAL32", or
  112. "INSTALL 32".

  114. Start Visual Basic, and compile EASY.

  116. Connect your serial port to a serial device (such as a modem) or to
  117. another computer using a null modem cable. If connected to a modem,
  118. typing AT should result in the modem replying with OK.

  160. right to use one copy of the WSC4VB library (in object form) on a

  163. more than one computer at the same time.  The source code for the
  164. library (WSC16.C, WSC32.C, MIO.C, XYDRV.C, ASDRV.C) is copyrighted by
  165. MarshallSoft Computing and may not be released in whole or in part.

  167. form only, as part of the user's compiled application.  The
